SAW IT. PINNED IT. DID IT: BARN WINDOW

I am partipating in a new link up with Stephanie and Katie. They are doing projects each week from Pinterest and posting about them. I thought this might be fun since I have done a few projects of lately from Pinterest.

I got my idea when I saw this gorgeous barn window and new I had to do something like this with my own twist on it!

I contacted my good friend Jodi from The Olde Crow Mill  (you should go check out Jodi's page. She is so talented and bonus she will mail orders to you!!!)and told her I had to have a window. Within a few days she found one for me. I knew I didn't want white I wanted something different so she painted it black for me then did a little antiquing to it. I then went and had some black and white pictures printed up. I didn't want the pictures to cover the entire window so I sized down and I am so glad I did. With our new house the wall color makes it pop more. I purchased some black scrapbooking corners and flipped them over and got the pictures to stick.

  6. So I've been searching EVERYWHERE for a window pane but a fatter rectangle. I found some really cute ones on craigslist... the dude wanted $50 and would not budge for some old/busted window. So I haven't done this year. I love the way yours turned out. Looks amazing.
