SAW IT. PINNED IT. DID IT-Gallery Wall

Hey lovlies! I've got some new faces around and I would just like to say WELCOME and I am so glad you are now a follower!! Today I am linking up with Steph and Katie for Saw it. Pinned It. Did it.

As you all have most likely seen on Pinterest there are tons of gallery walls posted. I love that there are so many to give different ideas. If you follow me on Pinterest (@lins00) then you will see that I am in love with Gallery walls in general! I took a couple ideas and then created my own. Honestly I have another bare wall that my mom was teasing me saying I should do one of my three fur babies! HA HA

I am not sure why the pictures look crooked because they are not on the wall. I guess I was holding my camera at a slight angle.

My friend Jodi over at The Olde Crow Mill made my "W" for me and the "Our Life Our Story". The first thing I did was go gather all the frames I knew I wanted up on my wall. Most of them already had pictures in them of our oldest son Brayden. I went ahead and arranged the frames the way I wanted them on my table so I could play with the layout a little bit. I then asked my handy dandy sweet hubby to hang up the pictures for me. Once hung I took some sticky notes and labled which pictures I wanted to change and what I wanted to change them too.

I tried to make sure that our wall told a story about us and I feel like it really does. I love looking over and seeing both boys baby pictures and different event in our lives that has happened. This and my old barn window has to be my two favorite items in our home!

Have you made any fun projects lately? What are they?

**I also wanted to announce the winner for the Erin Condren giveaway! Lindsay Ham you are the winner!! YAY I have emailed you about your prize. Please let me know if you have recieved my email. Thank you to everyone who entered!

Weekend Recap

Hey all your pretty people! I hope you had a good weekend! Mine was just okay...it was cold and then on Saturday we had freezing rain so that made for a change of plans for our evening.

Anyway on Friday night Todd called and told me to get ready that he was taking me to dinner with a rep and some of his co workers. We ended up eating at PF Changs with about 8 other people or so. There was sooo much food! We went through two rounds of ordering appitzers plus our entree and then dessert. Needless to say there was food brought home. I had such a good time meeting the people Todd worked with on a daily basis and then the rep that he had training with and then rode along with him for the day. The rep his name was Courtney and he was incredible nice and he is actually from Indiana and now lives in Texas. It was nice to talk to someone about Indiana and then about our experience when we lived in Texas too. He got a kick out of me telling the table that I wanted a miniture cow in which one of the guys Todd works with asked if the cow would be an inside pet; I guess I gave a weird look and my answer was a obvious NO and Courtney cracked up laughing along with a few other people.

On our way home my mom called me to see when we would be home. While on the phone with her she told me that our neighbor was setting up security cameras at his house because his car got broken into a day or so before. While said neighbor was messing around with the camera portion he looked over through the camera and noticed we had a fire! So the fire was only a yard fire and started around the front of the house. It was finally stopped and put out after making its way to the back of our house. Our house was not touched at all just the grass! I was so scared after mom told me this story I was afraid someone was trying to mess with our house!

Saturday and Sunday we just ran a few errands and then came back home. I did on Sunday take back my Nikon that I got for Christmas. I had charged the battery on Christmas day and then I didn't need to charge it anymore until just a day or so ago. When I went to plug in my battery it was flashing, reading in the manual it said if it was flashing then to take it back to get serviced. Needless to say I thought if the battery is already messing up then what else is going to go wrong. I wasn't going to another camera yet, I was going to come home and do some research but after talking to the nicest lady named Rachel at Best Buy I decided to get a Cannon. I am very excited and can't wait to learn how to use it!

Did you do anything fun this weekend?

2. Why do you blog? I started it at the suggestion of my husband. I think he was tired of my random thoughts and thought it would be a good idea for me to start one. It helps meeting people and what not since we have moved to three different states just this year.

5. What are your blogging goals for 2013?I want to grow my blog as much as I can. I hope to be one of those blogs where if a reader needs a pick me up or is having a bad day they know they can come over to my page and get a smile or a cheering up! :)

Best Tasting Roast Ever

I thought today I would leave you with a yummy recipe! This is an easy thing to make and throw in the crock pot right before you go to work or once you get home you can also cook it on the stove top in your dutch oven. I prefer the crock pot because well it is easy! :)

Ingredients

  • Any roast of your choosing no smaller than 3lbs
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 packet brown gravy
  • 1 10oz can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 purple onion
  • 2 garlic cloves minced

Directions
  • Cut onion in long strips put a layer of onion on the bottom of the crock pot.
  • Put roast in crock pot
  • Add the rest of the onion
  • chop the garlic and add it on top of the roast and onion
  • Add the 1/2 cup of water
  • Toss in the cream of mushroom soup
  • Sprinkle the brown gravy packet over the roast
  • Put the lid on the crock pot and turn on low for 6 hrs. If you want to have it a lot soon then cook it on high.
This roast will make a gravy and it is really good to make your own Beef Manhattan!

Recipe came from Cooking With Kids cookbook
